Prof. Owens received his Ph.D. in theoretical
physics from Tufts University in 1973. After post-doctoral work at
Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio he took a second
post-doc with the high energy group at FSU in 1976. He joined the
faculty at FSU in 1980.
His research interests are in theoretical high
energy physics including perturbative calculations using quantum
chromodynamics, the determination of parton distributions, and other
topics in collider physics, especially processes involving
photons. |
