Prof. Wahl received his Ph.D. in Physics from
University of Vienna in 1969. Worked as fellow and staff member at
CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics), faculty member at
SUNY at Stony Brook, and research scientist at Austrian Academy of
Sciences. Joined faculty at FSU in 1985. Research interest is in
experimental particle physics; for the last 10 years, has been a
member of the D0 experiment which studies proton-antiproton
collisions at the Tevatron accelerator at Fermi National Laboratory,
with the aim of performing tests of the Standard Model, study the
properties of the top quark, and search for new phenomena. |
